Gum Disease

Gum disease (gingivitis) occurs when plaque—a bacterial biofilm—accumulates on teeth. If untreated, symptoms such as bleeding, redness, and swelling may develop. Advanced gum disease (periodontitis) leads to deep pockets, bone loss, and loosening of teeth.

Mouth–Body Connection

Research suggests gum disease may contribute to:

  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • Premature, low-birth-weight babies
  • Complications in diabetes
Treatment

We aim to restore gum health using the least invasive and most cost-effective methods. Deep cleaning removes plaque and tartar from affected areas. In advanced cases, more complex periodontal treatment may be required.
